The Moving Thread is a curated choreography festival presented by Laya Arts Collective, bringing together artists and movement traditions in an evening of exploration, storytelling, and creative exchange.

Sunday, October 25, 2026
Performance: 5:00 PM | Doors open: 4:30 PM
First Congregational Church, Campbell, CA

At the heart of the festival is a simple idea: tradition is not static—it moves, evolves, and takes on new meaning through each artist who carries it forward.

Featuring original works by choreographers from a range of classical, folk, contemporary, and culturally rooted dance practices, The Moving Thread creates a space for artists to experiment while remaining connected to the histories, communities, and stories that shape their movement.

Each work offers a different perspective, but together they form a shared thread—connecting past and present, individual and community, tradition and innovation.

Many traditions. One stage. A shared future.

Join us for an evening that celebrates the artists, stories, and movement practices that continue to shape our communities.
