Arts Education and Instruction

LAC offers dynamic classes and workshops rooted in Indian classical and folk traditions. Through school-year residencies, summer programs, and youth outreach, students in Pre-K through 12th grade explore dance, rhythm, music, storytelling, and visual culture—blending movement with history, language, and the arts.

Stories that Dance

LAC “Stories that Dance” brings Indian mythology and folk tales to life through interactive storytelling, classical movement, and expressive gestures known as abhinaya—a cornerstone of Indian dance traditions. Designed especially for libraries and community spaces, these engaging sessions offer families and young readers a unique way to explore world cultures through the arts. We’re honored to share these timeless stories and hope they inspire imagination, curiosity, and connection in every library we visit.

Performances & Collaborations

LAC creates and presents original productions and collaborative performances that highlight the beauty and depth of Indian classical dance. Our work features both local talent and guest artists from around the world, offering audiences a rich blend of tradition and innovation.

From cross-cultural collaborations to ensemble showcases and seasonal performances, LAC’s productions are thoughtfully designed to be inclusive, family-friendly, and accessible to diverse communities. Whether on stage or in community spaces, our performances invite audiences to experience Indian performing arts in fresh, meaningful ways.
